Welcome!

Years of professional experience as an illustrator as well as in the animation field, working for studios like Disney, Warner Brothers, Hanna-Barbera and others, taught me to adapt my work to various styles.

These styles are the influence of a variety of artists; Disney’s Mary Blair, Tom Oreb and Eyvind Earle. Jack and Irene Delano, who were very active and influential artists in Puerto Rico’s graphic movement of the 1950′s and 1960′s, have also greatly inspired me. These and others, including the anonymous masters of illuminated manuscripts from the middle ages and the renaissance, have shaped my work.

When creating a piece, I am most concerned with its composition, light & shadows, texture, color. These crucial elements work within the design to effectively convey whatever message I wish to communicate. The “simplicity” of an image does not mean that the image itself is simple. It very well could have been a battlefield for its creator. This apparent simplicity is the challenge of good design.

I had a lot of fun creating these pieces, I hope you will enjoy them as well!

Thank you for stopping by.
